We manage homes across ten local authority areas in Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. Where we manage over 100 homes in a local authority area we will work closely with the strategic housing function of that local authority to assist them achieve their objectives. We will also work with wider partnerships to support common agendas around neighbourhoods and healthy, wealthy and wise communities.
West Lindsey
We own and manage 3,600 affordable rented homes and 109 low cost home ownership properties.
We are a member of the West Lindsey Local Strategic Partnership and sit on the Executive, Strategic Housing, Employment and Skills, and Growth Boards. Our key priorities in support of the partnership surround the delivery of new affordable homes, making the best use of housing stock and the prevention of homelessness.
In 2009/10 we built 73 new affordable homes in West Lindsey out of a total of 99 homes in Lincolnshire. Our investment of £7million led to £3million of grant funding.
We are working actively with West Lindsey, Lincoln City and North Kesteven as a key partner in implementing a new Choice Based Lettings service that will be available for customers by the end of this year.
We also work closely with Lincolnshire Police to develop safer places to live.
In total we invested £9.5million in West Lindsey and employed 80 people from the district during the financial year and paid salaries of £1.6million to staff living in the area.
Sheffield
We own and manage 1,177 affordable rented homes in Sheffield city. In Sheffield we work closely with the Strategic Housing function and are working on joint projects with other registered providers and Sheffield Homes, including joint funding of a debt advisor under the Financial Inclusion Strategy, worklessness and anti-social behaviour activities.
In total we invested £7million in the Lower Manor and Woodthorpe areas, employed ten people from the district during the financial year and paid salaries of £0.25million to staff living in the area.
Other areas of operation
We also own and manage a small number of homes in the following local authority areas: North Kesteven, Lincoln City, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Bassetlaw, Doncaster, Rotherham, Gedling and Bolsover. We invested £0.25million in the area with a further £7.4million on the development of 153 homes, 26 of which completed during the year. We employed 27 people from these districts during the financial year and paid salaries of £0.64million to staff living in these areas.
Across these local authority areas we own and manage 89 affordable rented homes and 120 low cost home ownership properties.
