If you rent your home from a Registered Social Landlord (Housing Association) or a Council they should be able to give you advice about any problems that you have with your property such as repairs or anti-social behaviour. If you would like to move home you may wish to consider a mutual exchange or a transfer to another property with your current landlord. We can also offer you advice about other housing options.
Relationship breakdown or domestic violence may mean that you need somewhere else to live or advice on how on stay safe in your current home. If you are not able to live in your property or believe that you will have to leave for whatever reason within the next six months you should contact the Housing Team for advice.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you are facing any difficulties. We are much more likely to be successful in preventing homelessness if we have enough time to help you sort things out.
