Steps to shared ownership

Buying a home on a shared ownership basis isn't as difficult as you might think.

Here are the steps you'll need to take:

  • Get an application form by calling our shared ownership co-ordinator on freephone 0800 027 2057 or by sending an email to info@acisgroup.co.uk
  • Your application will be assessed by an outside housing corporation agent.
  • If approved, you can then decide on a property and get an approved mortgage from a mortgage supplier.
  • You will need to send £200 reservation fee to Acis to secure your interest and provide us with your solicitor's details.
  • We instruct our solicitors and paperwork will then go through them.
  • We receive an engagement letter for signing.
  • We receive the contracts for signing.
  • We receive the lease for signing.
  • Monies are transferred from your solicitors to ours.
  • The purchase is complete! You can collect the keys to your new home from Acis.
