Gainsborough based Housing Association, Acis Group, have recently become involved in the Pathways to Work scheme, connected to TNG through Job Centre Plus. The scheme helps individuals, between the ages of 18 and 60, who are trying to get back into employment following a prolonged absence from the workplace due to ill health.
Acis were keen to get involved with this scheme andNeal Pearce, Organisational Development Manager commented, “The company is highly committed to providing work opportunities and work experience for local people, particularly amongst our tenant population. We are delighted to be working with organisations such as TNG, Action for Employment and the Sure Trust. The company has been able to provide several placements over the past few months, some of which have led to paid employment.”
Victoria Vernon from TNG says, “TNG looks to work with a variety of different businesses across Lincolnshire who can offer work experience of employment in a manner of different work roles, from cleaners and production operatives to management positions.”

Pathways to Work is a programme which offers support to people finding it difficult to find employment. Along with the work experience gained, valuable skills such as CV writing and interview techniques are offered in order to give each individual the best possible chance of returning to work.
