Acis 10th anniversary celebrated in style
The 10th anniversary of Acis was celebrated with a bang at our open day on Saturday 17 October. Ten years of operation were celebrated with customers and members of the public invited to come and join us on this special occasion.

The community event, held at the recently refurbished Park Springs Community Centre, was a great success with a very strong turnout on the day. There was a real family feel to the open day and the various age ranges were kept entertained bythe likes of a children’s activity trailer, bouncy castle, entertainer, face painters, flower arranging, clay modelling, Ninento Wii games, as well as various free raffles and competitions with over 30 great prizes up for grabs.

Alongside the fun and activities, the open day also provided a chance to get to know more about the services that we provide, and the key achievements we have accomplished in the last ten years. Our key partners were also in attendance, including Frank Haslam Milan, Kier, Aaron Services, Lindum, YES Team and Continental Landscapes.

Valerie Waby, Acis chief executive, explained:
“The open day was a fantastic way for us to celebrate this great occasion. We had a great number attend, both customers and members of the public alike. Ten years of operation is a significant milestone and we wanted to share our achievements with those outside the organisation. We have much to be proud of in terms of what we have done over the past decade – for our customers and for the communities in which they live. Here’s to the next ten years!”

Local agencies were also present at the open day, providing information and advice. These included Home-Start, Age Concern, Learning Communities, Sure Start, Smoke Free Homes, Volunteers Centre, West Lindsey District Council Recycling and Neighbourhood Wardens, St Johns Ambulance, as well as the Fire and Police services.
