Sheltered accommodation

Sheltered housing offers the privacy of your own home with the benefit of other residents close by if you like regular company and a community spirit.

We own and manage a number of sheltered accommodation schemes in towns and villages across Lincolnshire. Our schemes, primarily for people aged 55 and over and who have been assessed as needing housing, consist of either bungalows or flats. For schemes that include flats, there is the added security of a controlled door entry system. Additionally, people who have a proven medical need and are aged below 55 can also be considered.

Just like all our other homes, our sheltered schemes are of high-quality and tenants benefit from our wide ranging services. All are self-contained with their own living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Providing comfort, security and independence, our schemes are designed to minimise social isolation and most have communal facilities such as areas for social activities where lunches, coffee mornings and other events take place.

While giving you the freedom to live independently, you'll also be able to benefit from the wellbeing service delivered by the Lincs Independent Living Partnership which can help with things like transport, health registrations, minor home adaptations and 24/7 monitoring.

In addition, some tenants can choose to have private support or care.

We advertise vacant sheltered accommodation homes on the Lincs Homefinder Choice Based Lettings scheme. A four-tier banding scheme is used to prioritise applicants, according to an assessment of their housing needs which is based on current accommodation, physical and mental health, mobility, affordability, employment and wellbeing.
