Our well-respected Tenant Led Scrutiny Panel (TLSP) has been making a difference to the lives of fellow tenants for many years.
The TLSP operates independently from us and acts on behalf of tenants and residents, ensuring that we provide resident-centred services of the highest standard.
Together, the panel reviews and analyses our services, giving detailed recommendations to management and the Board as to how to enhance these services. The panel take on the role of critical friend, taking the views of their peers directly to the Board.
The percentage of our residents satisfied that their views are being taken into account has risen from 60% in 2010/11, before the TLSP was launched, to 74% according to the most recent customer data.
Its most recent reports have looked at how we deal with properties when they become empty, and how we look after our green areas in our communities. In 2015/16, they also carried out an impact assessment of their work.
The panel’s latest project looked at how the process around annual gas safety checks can be improved for tenants. In particular, they looked at how we could help tenants get the relevant checks done on time and perhaps in different ways. During the end of 2016 everyone was asked for their thoughts to feed into this report. And since then the report has been completed and is written ready to go to the Acis Board in May for feedback, when we will share the findings here. So watch this space!
