In their shoes with Tina Kent an Acis resident

Tina Kent from Gainsborough talks about her family’s return to Acis after they relocated down south.

We originally moved out of Gainsborough to go down towards London for work and to go back to where we were brought up, but we found it’s no better down south than it is here. In London, I was not happy and I did not get on with my housing association.

I came back for a number of reasons but my kids were not settling in and they missed Gainsborough and the people in the community.

I also really missed Erica my Area Service Manager at Acis as she was extremely helpful when I was living here.

We lived in Windsor and the people were not as friendly as they are here. In Gainsborough, there is a real sense of community you just do not get anywhere else.

Acis looks after us and if we need anything, they come to us straight away. The waiting times for repairs is short and they even come out for the small things fix things.

Erica even saved me from two spiders who were blocking my path to the bathroom!

Not only have I come back but also my Mum and Step-Dad are coming back from down south too. They are not happy there either and they miss the area.

One of my sisters has also moved here because of how much we love it in Gainsborough. She used to come regularly and decided to make the big move from down south to Gainsborough only a couple of weeks ago.

We are really close to the people at Acis and Erica looks after us very well. Two of my sisters and myself are already on Erica’s patch and my Mum is hoping to come back too!
