Kickstart | Brady thrives in new Kickstart work placement

We’re delighted to announce that our recent Kickstart candidate, Brady, has been doing great in his new role as Industrial Coatings Operative with company Universal Coatings.
After being referred to the Kickstart Scheme in early February, Brady joined us in hopes of updating his CV, improving his interview skills and finding a work placement he could really get stuck into.
Shortly after joining us, Brady discovered a job with Nottinghamshire-based employer Universal Coatings and was eager to apply.
While he had some labouring experience in the past, he was worried that he’d lack the specific knowledge and experiences that employers would be looking for.
After being offered an interview, Brady got to work researching the role and the company.
Thanks to his hard work and the support of our Kickstart team, Brady managed to apply, interview, and secure the job in less than two weeks!
During his first few weeks in his new role, Brady has been able to train and work alongside trade professionals, with company director, Matthew Curtis, reporting that he’s been “very pleased” with Brady’s progress.
We’re looking forward to hearing more about Brady’s journey with his new job, so be sure to check back in soon to see how he’s getting on.
Are you looking to broaden your skills like Brady? Why not sign up for the Kickstart Scheme and try one of our fantastic paid local work placements.
The government-funded scheme is available to anyone aged 16-24 who is receiving Universal Credit support.
