Our Heroes 2019 - Shortlist announced

The shortlist has been announced for this year’s Our Heroes awards, which will be handed out in October.

Our Heroes is social housing provider Acis’ annual community awards, recognising the achievements of people across the areas where it works.

Following a lengthy judging process, 12 sets of people have been shortlisted across four categories – including this year’s new ‘Positive Change’ category. The awards celebrate great gardens, good neighbours, fantastic young people and people doing their best to enhance communities.

Claire Woodward, Head of Marketing at Acis, said: “We’ve had a lot of fantastic entries this year and it’s been really hard to whittle the nominations down to just 12.

“It’s great to see so many people doing so much to make their communities a better place. We’re really looking forward to celebrating everyone’s efforts at our awards ceremony next month.”
