Say YES to rebuilding your business

Our employability programme matching young people to West Lindsey employers is back – and could help you rebuild your business after lockdown.

We run the Youth and Employer Support (YES) programme in partnership with Voluntary Centre Services, with funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

It helps tackle youth unemployment in West Lindsey by offering hands-on support to local employers as they look to hire the right candidates for their roles.

After being paused during the coronavirus lockdown, our service is back – and our teams are ready to help local employers recruit skilled and motivated young people.

And with the new government’s new Kickstart Scheme opening up in September, we’re in a perfect position to help employers navigate funding opportunities.

We can reduce the cost of recruitment, access free training courses and offer in-work support to help people settle into new roles.

Hannah Taylor-Dales, Service Development Manager at Acis, said: “The YES programme is all about bringing a fresh energy into workplaces across West Lindsey, helping young people to integrate into a new work environment and support employers to reach their goals with enthusiastic new recruits.

“Statistics show around 61 per cent of employers have cancelled some or all of their work experience and internship places, while the largest rise in unemployment has been seen in the East Midlands. We can help businesses and young people recover from the coronavirus lockdown and shape the foundations of our new economy moving forward.”
