Putting this report together really reminded me of how much we’ve achieved and how many young lives we’ve supported over the last 12 months.

It’s important for me to stress that providing safe, supportive accommodation for students at our sites in Nottingham and Sheffield is at the heart of everything we do.
Whether that’s my team’s 24/7 on-site presence, our wellbeing activities and community events, or just being a friendly face for students to talk to, we pride ourselves on our people-first approach.
Why? Well, we fully understand the important role safe and stable accommodation plays in student success and their positive experience of university.
More students satisfied than ever before
Across Sheffield and Nottingham, our 1,654 bed spaces continued to create inclusive communities where students could focus on their studies, make friends, build confidence and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
Over the past year, we have seen significant progress in the student experience and this year’s report shows strong outcomes - with high levels of satisfaction and students consistently reporting that they feel safe, respected and supported with us.
Our continued focus on service standards and our “Acis Way” approach has strengthened consistency across our sites and improved how we respond to student needs.
As a result, satisfaction has increased, more students are remaining in accommodation, and more are continuing and completing their courses.
Our on-site teams are at the heart of this impact. Providing 24/7 support and working closely with university wellbeing services, they ensure students have access to help whenever it is needed.
Alongside this, ongoing investment in accommodation, study spaces and shared facilities is helping students balance academic and social life more effectively.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to improving the student experience, strengthening communities and ensuring every student feels supported throughout their journey.
