We're excited to announce that we have been awarded the accreditation, by TED (Talk, Eat and Drink) Ageing Better in East Lindsey, which recognises our excellent services for an ageing population.

TED is a National Lottery Community Fund project, managed by YMCA Lincolnshire, which works with the community and businesses to reduce loneliness for those aged over 50.

As part of their aim to create an age-friendly community, they offer accreditations to businesses who want to highlight their age-friendly and accessible services.

This award means that we have met the following criteria:

  • Respect and inclusion
  • Customer comfort
  • Clear marketing and communications
  • Accessibility

It emphasises on our commitment to keeping homes accessible, warm, safe, and secure for all people.

Our team at Acis HomePlus help people to stay in the homes they love for longer through installing adaptations such as handrails, ramps, stairlifts, wet rooms, low kitchen countertops, widened doorways and specialises in transforming the homes of people living with mobility issues or disabilities.

Acis HomePlus Lead, Erica Watkins, said: “We received the accreditation because we have shown how our services have become more accessible over the years. For example, it’s easy for members of the public to contact us as they can talk to us over the phone, on our online chat or through text messages.

"This accreditation also goes to show that we are age-friendly across the group.”

Business Development Manager, Hannah Taylor-Dales, said: "This accreditation shows the excellent work we are doing across the group to ensure our friendly services are available to everyone.

"As a group, we pride ourselves on creating opportunities for people to have better lives through the provision of better homes and better services."
