A young man from Gainsborough has started work thanks to support from our Restart scheme.
Kieran was referred into the project by his work coach at the job centre and attended courses to support his search for work.
The Restart scheme is the government’s flagship back to work service to help the country recover from the coronavirus pandemic. And Riverside Training provide tailored support to jobseekers on behalf of Jobs 22 in the Gainsborough area.
Kieran took the opportunity to attend a number of courses to put him in the best possible place to find a job.
He completed our Get into Catering and Hospitality, Safeguarding, Employability Skills and Work Skills sessions.
The courses, run in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council, offer a range of options to support people to pick up new skills in everything from English and maths to first aid and mental health as well as wellbeing and employability skills. These free courses aim to support the Lincolnshire community to prosper.
And Kieran’s hard work paid off having secured a job at the Caldero Lounge restaurant in the town as well as undergoing recruitment for the Royal Air Force.
