We’ll go back to basics looking at: 

 

Cover letters. 

Identifying your skills to match the job. 

Job searching on search engines, websites, and the best methods to use. 

Interview skills.  

 

This seven-hour course will give you the skills to help you begin your working life.  

Entry requirements:

No prior knowledge needed, starting from basics.  

No initial assessment needed.  

Tasks for all levels, learners to be supported by tutor if needed. 

Materials required for the course:

All equipment/ worksheet provided. 

Teaching method:

Classroom based, face to face, both practical and theory based.  

Theory involves information giving and discussions  

How is your progress checked:

Learners will be asked to complete a personal learning record and weekly feedback during their course.   

The tutor will offer regular feedback through informal and formal methods. 

Is there any extra study required at home:

No extra study needed. No prior knowledge needed.

Going back to basic. If you feel like you need support getting into the world of work, then this course is ideal for you. This course will help you to create the basics that you need to begin applying for work, including CV creation, Cover Letter templates, identifying your skills and how to apply and identify the jobs for you. This seven-hour course will give you the knowledge you need to help you to begin your working life.
