Learn the essential skills to respond calmly and confidently in an emergency. Our First Aid Course is designed for anyone who wants the knowledge to protect family, colleagues or community members when it matters most.
You will gain practical, hands-on experience with vital techniques including CPR, recovery positions, choking management, wound care and how to recognise common medical conditions.
Delivered in a friendly, supportive setting, this course is ideal for beginners as well as those refreshing their skills. By the end of the session, you’ll feel ready to take action, provide reassurance and get help quickly in real-life situations.
Places are fully funded for eligible learners, and spaces are limited.
Yes, there are some prerequisites for Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) courses, including:
- Age: You must be at least 16 years old to take the course.
- Physical ability: You must be physically able to perform the procedures required to meet HSE assessment criteria, current practice and the criteria set by the Awarding Organisation.
- English language: Some courses require a basic command of English, typically at a Level 2 level.
The learner does not need any prior First Aid knowledge and there is no initial assessment before the course place is confirmed.

Learners do not need to provide any materials.
The 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is delivered in a classroom setting with a mix of theory and practical elements.
The trainer will assess learners throughout the day on the practical elements and the written assessment is completed at the end of the session.
To complete the course and receive the qualification, all learners must attend and complete all course content. If a learner arrives unreasonably late, the trainer reserves the right to cancel your place on the course without providing a refund. It is the discretion of the trainer of what is considered "unreasonably late". We always advise you to arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled course start time.
It is important to bring some form of identification with you to the course such as a Driving License, Work ID, or Passport so that you can comply with our Identification Process.
