Managing Anxiety

This short course is designed to support adults who experience anxiety and want to build confidence in preparation for employment, training, or volunteering.

Across three supportive sessions, learners will explore what anxiety is, how it can affect everyday life and work situations, and practical strategies to manage it more effectively. The course focuses on building self-awareness, resilience, and coping techniques that can be used in both personal and professional settings.

Learners will develop practical tools to help manage stress, improve confidence, and prepare emotionally for the challenges of employment, including routines, communication, and workplace expectations. Sessions are delivered in a safe, understanding environment, with opportunities for discussion and reflection.

This course is suitable for adults who want to improve their wellbeing as a stepping stone towards work, further learning, or personal development. No prior experience is required.

No prior knowledge is needed.

Teaching method:

This course will be face to face in a classroom setting

How is your progress checked:

Learners will be asked to complete a personal learning record and weekly feedback during their course. 

The tutor will offer regular feedback through informal and formal methods.

Is there any extra study required at home:

No extra study but support materials to take home will be provided
