All first-year students need to apply for accommodation through the accommodation office at Sheffield Hallam University.

If you have gone through clearing and have now have a place at university, you may still be able to book your stay with us – as long as we have room available. Go through the normal booking process or call us on 0114 294 5680 and we’ll talk you through it all. 

Yes, that’s fine. But it’s important to let us know as soon as possible. Please screenshot your rejection letter from UCAS along with your name and reference number. Send the screenshots to trigon@acisstudents.co.uk and we’ll process deposit refunds if applicable.

Sheffield Hallam University’s City Campus is a 5-minute walk away. The Collegiate Crescent Campus is a little further - a 15-20 minute walk.

Grocery shopping can be done at the nearby Sainsbury’s, Iceland, Tesco, Aldi, Asda or multiple international supermarkets – all within walking distance.

You will need to register with the University Medical Centre on the main City Campus, but there is a chemist on Shoreham Street.

A three-minute walk away on Shoreham Street.

There is a Pure Gym opposite the site and excellent gym facilities on the university’s City Campus.

Both are a 5-minute walk away.

There are both bus and tram stops within a short walk.

Your room is fully furnished with either a single or three quarter bed, bedside drawers, desk, chair, shelves, wardrobe and noticeboard. In studios and twodios, you’ll also get a TV and en-suite bathroom facilities with a shower along with extra space. Bedroom accessories can be purchased from our partners.

Kitchens come equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and kettle, while there’s also comfy sofas, chairs and a dining table. Kitchen accessories can be purchased from our partners.

Our on-site cleaning team will clean communal areas like the common room and laundrette, but you and your flatmates will be responsible for cleaning your flat. Flats will be checked weekly to ensure the property is being well maintained.

Sorry, pets are not allowed.

We have on-site laundry facilities with plenty of washers and dryers. We use a top-up card system, and we’ll talk you through it all when you get here.

You can personalise your room using accessories and bedding, which you need to provide yourself. We ask that you don't put posters on your walls as you’ll have to pay for any damage caused.

Guests are permitted for a maximum of two consecutive nights in any week but must sleep in your room with you. Nobody is allowed to sleep in the lounge or kitchen area. If you are going to have a guest, you must email their name and the dates they’re staying to trigon@acisstudents.co.uk.

Unfortunately, there is no parking available and due to our central location you may find street parking difficult.

We have two cycle storage facilities on site. You will need to obtain a key and you must insure your bike and have a bike lock. Bicycles are not allowed to be taken into the accommodation.

Post is delivered to the post boxes in the foyer of your block. Parcels can be collected from reception upon receipt of a slip in your post box notifying you that there is a parcel for you.

You can visit reception and fill out a repair slip. We will log and effect your repair as soon as possible.

We allow transfers from around mid-October each year. If we can find you a suitable transfer, we will move you as soon as you are ready. Please note that there is an administration fee of £45 prior to moving in and £50 once you have moved in. Please speak with the on-site team for further information.

You will need to purchase a TV licence if you wish to watch or stream live TV in your flat.

We arrange several events throughout the year, including a welcome barbecue and a Christmas quiz. We’ll post information on site regularly so keep an eye out.

We have a common room with freeview on a flat screen TV, surround sound DVD system, games console and pool table, a courtyard table tennis table, covered decking and picnic area.

If you are returning for the following year and are staying in the same room, you may be able to leave your items. It will be your responsibility to box all items and label them.

We offer summer contracts subject to availability. Please contact us at least a month before the end of your contract.

Please contact the site team to check whether your room will be vacated and cleaned by the time you want to arrive. There will be an extra charge for early arrivals.

All blocks are key entry, as are your flat and your room. We have staff on site 24/7 for your safety and you will be given a number for contacting staff in emergencies. You have an intercom system to your apartment. 

The internet is provided by Glide and will be around 50 Mbps

There is no deposit, however a £200 booking fee upon booking the room is required. This is a non-refundable fee which makes up part of the first rent instalment, or overall rent instalment if paying the rent in full.
