Student Bedroom

UniKitOut

All you really have to do is bring some bedding and maybe some of your everyday essentials like cooking equipment, utensils and bathroom and cleaning products.

If you’ve got all of that sorted, that’s great. But if you haven’t, we can help. We’ve teamed up with our friends at UniKitOut to provide you with tailored packs to set you on your way.

Choose from a range of bathroom, kitchen and bedroom packs – just choose the items you want and don’t want, and you’ll get it delivered straight to your room for a transparent price.

Cleaning

We’ll clean communal areas like common rooms, laundrettes and outside spaces, but you’ll be responsible for cleaning your individual room and the wider flat that you’ll share. That means you’ll need to clean your kitchen, lounge, hallways and any bathrooms. Don’t forget to ask your flatmates  to help you out here!

We have excellent laundry facilities on site with both washers and dryers to use at a reasonable price. Sat in your room and wondering whether there’s a washer free? Don’t make an unnecessary trip! There’s a laundry app that will help you out. The machines also take payment via the app, so you don’t need to worry about carrying cash.

Bills, bills, bills

There aren’t any. Everything’s included. There’s no need to pay extra for heating, electricity, water or the internet. We even throw in content’s insurance. We’ve got you covered. All maintenance is included as well, so if something goes wrong, we’re there to fix it.

Endsleigh Insurance Logo

Endsleigh

Our Endsleigh insurance package not only offers content insurance, but also a 24-hour dedicated student wellbeing helpline, getting you through those difficult times. They make managing your account easy by providing you with the free My Endsleigh app which has the additional benefit of a Rewards Wallet, giving you cashback towards any additional possessions cover you might need.

If you’re an international student then you can still sign up to the Endsleigh package via the website, ahead of your arrival. It’s all included in your rent, so you won’t pay any extra unless you want to add to your contents package.

We’ll provide you with all relevant information for Endsleigh upon you moving in, but you can also register your cover here.

Just give us a nudge if you have any questions on this in the meantime.

The whole package

We want you to have fun whilst you’re with us, in your home away from home.

Our sites have common room areas for you to use with your friends, we’ll also be hosting some fun events and activities throughout the year, and we’ll even give you freebies from time to time!

Want to know about a specific site? More information is located on the individual pages, which you’ll find access to at the bottom of this page.

Your Student Accommodation Manager (Sam!)

Your Student Accommodation Manager ...or Sam to be exact... will be your guide throughout your stay with us. Sam will help you manage everything once you've moved in, from viewing contracts, making rent payments and reporting maintenance.

Need something? Sam can help!

Next steps

So, you like what you see? Now it’s the exciting part, time to apply.

If you need further support then our teams are always on hand to help with any queries. Please see our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) sections below or contact the relevant site for assistance.

You’ll need to start by deciding which site you’re interested in and which room type(s) you like the look of.

You can book directly through Sam, or check out The Trigon or Raleigh Park pages to book through the University.

If you're booking with us for 2022/23, then there will be a £250 deposit, refundable at the end of your tenancy following an inspection.

For 2023/24, our direct bookings are now open! A £200 booking fee will apply instead of a deposit. This means you'll pay £200 upon booking, which then goes towards the total rent amount. It's not paid in addition to rent, it’s just used to help you secure a room with us.

If you have any questions about the booking fee then you can contact our site teams who will be happy to talk you through it.

Contracts

We want to be as clear as possible throughout the application process.

Please keep in mind that when applying and accepting a room with us, you’ll be asked to read and sign a tenancy agreement. This may also sometimes be referred to as a contract. This is a legal, binding document which means that once you have signed for a room, you’re legally held to everything that it asks of you.

All that we ask is that you fully understand the terms and conditions of what is expected of you during your stay with us, including paying your rent and taking good care of the accommodation. We’ll also uphold our part in the agreement, such as making sure your maintenance is dealt with in an appropriate amount of time whilst keeping you regularly updated, and that we’re providing the best possible service to you.

We’ll be as flexible as possible with tenancies and payments, but once you’ve signed the contract, we can’t release you unless you can find another student to take over your tenancy responsibilities.

We’d suggest asking a parent, guardian or other appropriate representative to read through the contract with you before you sign. If you need to discuss anything in more detail or have any questions about the contract, then please contact the relevant site team for support and guidance.

Arriving

We will send all arrival information a few weeks before your contract start date. All dates will be outlined in the contract, but we’ll send you a step-by-step outline of what you can expect on your move-in day.

For parents and guardians

We appreciate that sending your child off to university is a huge step, for both of you! Which is why we want to assure you that we'll do everything we can to help the transition go smoothly.

We often hold events, which gives us an opportunity to learn about our students, and means they regularly have the opportunity to ask any questions about rent or maintenance, whilst also having a bit of fun.

If we notice a student is struggling with something, then we'll make sure they're aware of all the support and guidance that is available to them. Our door is always open for a chat!

You'll also find lots of useful information via our blog page which you can access below.

If you have any questions or need help with anything, then please contact the relevant site.

Please note, as much as we'd love to chat to you about your child, in some instances we are not able to talk openly and freely due to GDPR, unless they have given us prior consent to share or disuss personal and sensitive information with you.
