PART C - TERMS OF PRIORITY FOR THE SELECTION OF OCCUPIERS OF THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS AND FIRST HOME UNITS

  1. Persons having a Local Connection to Branston and Mere
  2. Persons having a Local Connection to Bracebridge Heath, Canwick, Heighington, Nocton, Potterhanworth Waddington and Washingborough
  3. Persons having a Local Connection to North Kesteven District in Housing Need;
  4. Persons having a Local Connection to North Kesteven District not in Housing Need;
  5. Residents from outside North Kesteven District identified as being in Housing Need;
  6. Residents from outside North Kesteven District not in Housing Need.

 

“Local Connection” shall mean

• applicant(s) have been permanently resident in the locality for the last SIX months; or • applicant(s) have immediate family members who are currently and have been continuously resident for the last FIVE years in the locality. Family members are defined as parents/guardians, adult children or brothers or sisters; or • applicant(s) have previously lived in the locality for a continuous period of TWELVE months (whilst aged 18 or over) in the last FIVE years; or • applicant’s main place of work is in the locality for a continuous period of TWELVE months

 

For the avoidance of doubt there is no priority given between each level of the above cascade and the applicant

 

“Local Connection Criteria” connection

means the criteria which are met by a person who satisfies the Local Connection and Part C of Schedule 4 pursuant always to paragraph 1 of Part B of Schedule 4 also
