We’ve recently secured a closure order on a flat in Gainsborough after persistent issues with anti-social behaviour and drug related incidents in the property.
The action is the result of our partnership approach with Lincolnshire Police and West Lindsey District Council, which is tackling issues that are impacting the quality of life of our customers.
The legal order, secured last month (October 2025) through our work with the Gainsborough Neighbourhood Policing Team, means there is now a ban in place for anyone returning to the property in Trinity Court for three months, when it will be prepared ready for new tenants to move into.
The temporary closure of the property was agreed after repeated attempts to work with the perpetrator to manage their anti-social behaviour were unsuccessful.
In addition to the court order, we have been working closely with West Lindsey District Council to help residents feel safer in the area, which is already making a big difference. A new local lettings policy for the block means we’re able to reduce the risk of anti-social behaviour in the future. We’ll also be joining Lincolnshire Police’s Design Out Crime Team on a walkabout around the neighbourhood to identify any issues with the building and grounds which could be making it more susceptible to ASB, before considering any recommendations.
Joanne Booth, Safer Communities and Customer Support Manager at Acis Group, said: “Court orders like this are a matter of last resort, however our number one priority will always be the safety and quality of life of our customers. After multiple attempts to work with the perpetrator, we were left with no option but to pursue the legal action.
“We’re committed to making sure our communities remain safe places to live and deeply understand the impact that this kind of behaviour can have on people’s lives. The legal action we and our partners have taken, together with the additional measures we have put in place, underline this commitment.
“We will always take reports of this nature very seriously and if any of our customers are experiencing anti-social behaviour or feel unsafe in their home, we would encourage you to report it to us. It is quick, easy and can be done anonymously, and you will be supported throughout.
Customers can report anti-social behaviour to us using MyAcis , completing our online ASB form or calling us on 0800 027 2057.
You can find out more about how we manage anti-social behaviour on our ASB page .
