We want to share an important update about our new Bowling Green Road development in Gainsborough, where we are creating two apartment buildings for people aged 55 and over – Bailey House and Trent House. 

As previously shared, the development will provide 60 high-quality apartments for social rent, with 30 homes in each building. The apartments have been carefully designed to support independent living, comfort and wellbeing, with modern kitchens and bathrooms, bright living spaces, glass-fronted balconies and access to a Live Well Hub for activities, socialising and wellbeing support. 

Update on timescales 

Although the buildings look almost complete from the outside, unfortunately, the homes will not be ready by the previously expected December completion date. 

The delay has been caused by events outside of our control. We’re working closely with the contractor to complete the remaining checks, and finishing works as quickly and safely as possible, while making sure the homes meet the high standards we expect for our customers. 

At this stage, we’re unable to provide a revised completion date. We understand this will be disappointing news, and on behalf of Acis Group and the contractor, we would like to sincerely apologise for the delay and any inconvenience this may cause. 

Supporting our customers 

Anyone who has already received an allocation for one of these apartments has been contacted and made aware of the situation. We will continue to support these customers and keep them updated as more information becomes available. 

We know how important these homes are and how much they are needed locally. Our focus remains on delivering safe, comfortable homes in a supportive community where residents can live well and feel at home.
