Acis Group is proud to support National Apprenticeship Week.
Now in its 23rd year, the annual campaign is a week-long celebration that brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
Acis Group has long had a successful apprenticeship programme and since 2022 has recruited 14 apprentices to work across the group, with further apprenticeship roles created through its partner contractors.
Apprenticeship roles with the organisation range from trades such as plumbing and heating, electrical work and carpentry and joinery, to technical and business apprenticeships in chartered surveying, human resources, IT and finance.
Of those starting apprenticeships with Acis since 2022, more than two thirds have either completed or continue to progress through their apprenticeship, with several going on to secure a permanent role with the organisation.
Apprenticeships offer an alternative to traditional learning and training in professional qualifications, providing a pathway for people to develop skills for life, get started in work or long-term career progression. The programme adds to an already strong culture of learning and skills development at the group, which also includes specialist education and wellbeing providers, Clip, Riverside and Skills Centre Plus.
Liz Hoyland, head of corporate services at Acis Group said: “Our apprenticeship programme goes from strength to strength each year and it’s been very rewarding to see our current cohort grow in skills and confidence. Their hard work makes a real impact on our team's success, and we’re fully behind them as they balance their studies with their roles.
“We’re continually looking at ways to enhance our growth and skills development programme; with our summer work-experience initiative now well-established for those in school; ‘Experience it’ days for students learning through our Clip, Riverside and Skills Centre Plus providers; and dedicated training on high-priority areas such as digital and AI.
“I’d encourage anyone who is interested in an apprenticeship or knows someone who might be, to keep an eye out for any future opportunities we have on offer.”
