It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
It’s Christmas!
I wish it could be Christmas every day!
Well, this December it almost has been with our festive fun events taking place over the past couple of weeks!
We started with our annual community event at Gainsborough Uphill Community Centre where around 40 local people attended our Crafty Christmas get together.
Families across Gainsborough came along to create their own Christmas crafts – including reindeer food!
Our amazing teams at CLIP then hosted their Christmas market events in Gainsborough, Market Rasen and Mablethorpe where local people could come along to connect with their communities in our cafes.
This was also a chance for our learners to sell some of their brilliantly creative craft pieces as part of our makers project.
The makers project is all about helping people to gain new craft skills and to make beautiful items to sell in our community cafes.
This helped raise almost £200 for the charities - including the Air Ambulance Service!
Our student teams helped the students living in our accommodation in Nottingham and Sheffield get into the Christmas spirit too! Students joined our teams to decorate Christmas trees, enjoy a hot chocolate or two and relax in front of a festive film before they head into the break.
And finally, at Riverside Training our team’s Christmas Workshop event went down a storm with parents and children in Gainsborough as locals dropped in to our family learning session.
The event saw children decorate t-shirts, meet santa’s elves and enjoy a story time as they begin the school holidays!
