On Tuesday, some of our Riverside Training team attended the launch of the No Wrong Door directory at Ealing Town Hall in London.

A £2.06m joint initiative between GLA (Greater London Authority), London Councils and the DWP under the Helping Londoners into Good Work mission, No Wrong Door is a comprehensive directory of provision across West London for frontline employment and skills advisors to find opportunities for people who are looking for work, training or mental health and wellbeing support.

Riverside Training has been a trusted delivery partner for Shaw Trust for two years, supporting the DWP’s Work and Health Programme.

We were specially invited to the event to showcase the way we work with participants.

Richard Thorpe, Operations Manager, opened the presentation by introducing Acis Group, and how we work to support our customers and their communities through our housing, education, training and student accommodation services.

Vicki Cross, Delivery Manager, then took to the stage to give the audience a deeper insight into the specific employability, education, and wellbeing skills we offer to highlight best practice in the provision areas No Wrong Door covers.

Louise Oak, Employment Coach, talked in detail about wellbeing and provided attendees with a toolkit to help in approaching and supporting someone with health and wellbeing challenges.

We finished the session with a virtual art therapy class from our tutor Sally Foster.

Sally discussed the benefits of art therapy before the audience got creative with some brilliant drawings.

It was an honour to be asked to share how we work with our customers, and how our services benefit them and their wider communities.
