Tony had been looking for a way to buy his new home after 14 years of renting. He’d looked at other providers but found their application process was too complex and decided to look at buying with Acis Group. He found our application process was by far the most appealing and, late last year, decided that Shared Ownership was the easiest way for him to finally come closer to owning his own home.
Tony expressed a particular interest in the properties at our Bowling Green Road site in Gainsborough. At the time of his enquiry, the build hadn’t been completed but Tony was sure from the drawings and pictures he had seen that this was the home for him. In the meantime, our Development team got the ball rolling to make the process of becoming a Shared Ownership buyer smooth and quick. They got Tony’s mortgage approved and, when the build was complete, they took Tony for a look around his potential property. Once Tony was happy, our team appointed a solicitor and completed the purchase process.
Soon enough, Tony had his keys and a move in date of February 2023. He was one of the first buyers to move into his new home at Bowling Green Road.
Tony is thrilled with his new two-double -bedroom semi and felt he’d finally found a home for life. He said, “It’s phenomenal! I now have roots and really feel at home.” He Praised Sophie, our Customer Relationships Officer, and said “Sophie was brilliant. She kept me updated on the process of the build and moving in stage. There’s not one part of my home I don’t like!”
He’s already started making the garden his own by adding decking and lights, where he’ll enjoy spending time during the summer months. He also has plans for his front garden too. Tony’s also considered adding Solar panels to his roof amongst other things.
Acis Group were supportive during Tony’s move and continue to support him while we carry out snagging. Since moving in, Tony has recommended buying or considering Shared Ownership with us to friends and family and has even passed details onto a friend for her sister and partner.
