Have you been to CLIP Café, a warm welcome on the Queen Street Market Rasen. With freshly baked treats and some friendly faces, it has created a haven for locals seeking a slice of community and connection.

Since Alison and Mandy took the reins back in November 2022, CLIP Café has blossomed into more than just a spot for a cuppa and a nibble. It's become a hub of activity, offering everything from beginner's baking classes to a listening ear for anyone in need. If there's something about Market Rasen they don't know, well, it's safe to say it might not be worth knowing!

Their dedication to the community caught the eye of many, leading to being shortlisted for the prestigious Community Group or Team of the Year award in February 2024. The ceremony held at the racecourse on March 31st saw many deserving nominees, including CLIP Café.

Alison expressed her gratitude, saying, "To be shortlisted was an honour in itself, and the recognition was truly heartwarming. We're thrilled for the winners, NewLife Centre, and proud to have been among such fabulous company."

Mandy, still relatively new to Market Rasen, was humbled by the community's embrace. "It's a testament to the warmth and generosity of this town that we've been welcomed and appreciated so wholeheartedly. We're grateful beyond words."

But CLIP Café's impact goes beyond serving up delicious cakes and brews. They're actively involved in supporting their customers outside of the café walls, helping with tasks like obtaining birth certificates and applying for blue badges. It's about more than just a cuppa; it's about offering a sense of belonging and looking out for one another.

CLIP Café hosts regular events like the Community Cuppa every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, offering a free drink and cake to all who attend. And on the 26th of April, they're hosting their Global Café, a space for English language learners to come together and connect.

Congratulations to Mandy and Alison!
