Did you know men are less likely to access psychological therapies than women and only 36% of referrals to the NHS talking therapies are for men?

That's one of the reasons why we have teamed up with the Gainsborough Trinity Foundation to deliver a project that raises awareness of male mental health.

The MEN United project, funded by shine, brings men together to tackle the stigma around male mental health and suicide.

This project provides men with the opportunity to attend weekly social nights and monthly events to talk and receive support.

The weekly support group, that is held every Thursday at 1.30pm at Gainsborough Uphills Community Centre, provides men with a safe space to chat.

Research suggests that men who don’t speak openly about their feelings are sometimes less able to recognise any symptoms of mental health in themselves.

We have listed some useful resources that offer mental health support below.

Keep up with social events at Gainsborough Trinity Foundation.
